斯里兰卡总统参访斯里兰卡康提佛牙寺返回

　　深圳佛教新闻海外资讯：据《colombopage》报道，2009年7月25日，斯里兰卡总统马欣达·拉贾帕克萨视察斯里兰卡Hill Country(丘陵地)时参访了斯里兰卡康提佛牙寺。

　　当日早晨，总统在Sri Dalada Maligawa参加了几场宗教活动，随后拜访了斯里兰卡佛教阿斯羯利派大长老Ven. Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Mahanayake Thera以及摩尔瓦多派大长老Tibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera。总统告知两位长老有关斯里兰卡中央省的发展工作并表示会为此拨出30亿卢比。

　　两位长老也对政府在他们最近参访的斯里兰卡北部马尼克农场难民营所开展的福利工作表示了赞赏。(编译：子规)

　　July 25, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa today paid homage to the most sacred Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy during his visit to hill country.

　　Presidential media unit said that the President Rajapaksa engaged in several religious activities at the Sri Dalada Maligawa this morning.

　　Following the religious activities the President has visited the chief incumbents of Most Ven. Agga Maha Panditha Udugama Sri Buddha Rakkitha thero of the Asigiri Chapter and the most Ven. Tibbatuwawe Sri Siddartha Sumangala thero of the Malwattha Chapter.

　　According to the sources, the President apprised the two chief incumbents of the development work in the Central Province by the government and a sum of Rs. 300 million has been allocated for the work.

　　The two prelates have appreciated the welfare work carried out in the IDP camps at Manik Farm in the North which they have visited recently.
